A native of Wilton, California, Dylan Lupton grew up racing and riding dirt bikes, but he got his first taste of four wheels at the age of 13, racing karts at the Sonoma Raceway karting track. After three years in karting, Lupton accumulated trophy after trophy, fueling his dream of a racing career on the national stage.
Lupton started his full-bodied stock car career at Irwindale Speedway in the S-2 Sportsman Series in 2010. After winning three of the season’s 14 races, Lupton brought home the 2010 Track Championship. For the next two years, Lupton raced late models across the country, gaining valuable experience, which included making his NASCAR debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West at Montana Raceway Park. In 2013, Dylan Lupton inked a two-year deal with Sunrise Ford Racing to compete full time in K&N West.
After winning races, capturing the Rookie of the Year title in his first full-time season and finishing second in the 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West championship, Lupton was named a member of the NASCAR Next class for two consecutive seasons.
In 2015, Lupton made his first appearance in NASCAR’s top-three series in a NASCAR Xfinity Series event at ISM Raceway in Phoenix. After making eight starts that season, the following year, Lupton took the green flag in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Xfinity Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
Lupton joined forces with JGL Racing in 2017, piloting the No. 24 car in 14 events. In January of 2018, the young driver announced that he would be making at least 21 starts for JGL and pursuing Rookie of the Year honors, with the hopes of securing sponsorship to run his first full-time effort.
Lupton also recently graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Business Finance.
