Armstrong at Charlotte Motor Speedway:
Dakoda will be making his eighth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway to go along with two prior starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 16th at the Concord, North Carolina track which occurred in both Charlotte events during the 2015 season.
Dakoda finished 21st and 19th in the two events at Charlotte last season in the No. 28 Toyota.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Charlotte Motor Speedway:
“We participated in the Charlotte test a few weeks back and worked on a number of different things with this new package we have this year. Since the test the guys on this JGL Racing team have done a good amount of work and now it is time for the driver to step up and see what our No. 28 WinField United Toyota has for them this week.”
“It was nice to have had these last two weeks off before we start 20 straight weeks of racing. This is the big grind of the season that we are starting here this weekend and it will be nice to kick it off with a solid run at our home track.”
Dating back to his win in the ARCA Racing Series in 2010, Talladega Superspeedway has been a favorite place for Dakoda Armstrong but disaster always seems to plaque the New Castle, Indiana native. True to form, a cut tire in the closing laps on Saturday would take away a top-10 finish and force Dakoda and his No. 28 WinField United Toyota to settle for a disappointing 23rd place finish in the running of the Sparks Energy 300.
