Armstrong at Chicagoland:
Dakoda will be making his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Chicagoland Speedway to go along with three previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series and one in the ARCA Racing Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 15th at the Joliet, IL track.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Chicagoland:
“The track at Chicagoland has really worn over the years and that makes it a really fun place to race at. It is really important to get your car to handle well over the bumps and to maintain your momentum. I have had good speed at Chicagoland over the years and the guys on this JGL Racing team have worked hard in putting the best car possible on the track.”
“We have had a rough last month or so and have lost a lot of points in the race to the season ending playoffs. We mathmatically still have a chance so we will go out and give it our all and see where things shake out.”
With the NASCAR XFINITY Series season ending playoffs just two races away, Dakoda Armstrong finds himself on the outside looking in. After enduring going to the rear of the 40-car field on three separate occasions, Armstrong would pilot his No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota to a hard fought 18 th place finish in the running of the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond Raceway.
Avg. Starting Position: 23.1
Avg. Finishing Position: 18.2
Best Finish: 3rd (Daytona – June)
Points Standing: 12th
