Armstrong at Texas Motor Speedway:
Dakoda will be making his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway to go along with three previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 10th at the Fort Worth, Texas track which occurred during the 2014 season.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Texas Motor Speedway:
“No one really knows what to expect with the repave and reconfigure at Texas. Everyone is in the same situation so it will be a challenge for all teams. It will be more important than ever to utilize our two practices to figure out the track and what your car needs. The guys on this JGL Racing team are good at giving us what we need and I am sure we will get our No. 28 WinField United dialed in and then it is up to me to figure out the new track.”
“It was nice to have a week off after the West Coast trip and it allowed everyone to catch their breathe a little. We are ready to get back after it and look forward to a challenging but good weekend in Texas.”
As the “NASCAR Goes West” events entered its final of the three races, Dakoda Armstrong and his JGL Racing team looked to close out the West Coast swing on a high note. The New Castle, Indiana native would battle some handling and track position issues but managed his fifth top-20 finish of the season as he piloted his No. 28 WinField United to a 20th place finish in the running of the Service King 300 at Auto Club Speedway.
