Armstrong at Dover International Speedway:
Dakoda will be making his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Dover International Speedway to go along with two prior starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 14th at the track known as The Monster Mile which came during the 2015 season.
Dakoda finished 21st and 20th in the two events at Dover last season in the No. 28 Toyota.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Dover International Speedway:
“Dover is a really fast track. Drivers use the word “landing” a lot at Dover because when you drive down into the corner the car gets a light feeling and then it hits max load all at once so it is crucial to be good on entry into the corner. Then you have to be good through the long corners which makes it a tough track to get a grip on.”
“I think as a driver I learned a few new things at Charlotte last week which should be helpful moving forward. This is the early part of a long 20 week stretch and it will be important for us to build some positive momentum with a solid run this weekend in Dover.”
The traditional NASCAR Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway is always special for many XFINITY Series drivers and crew members. With many crew member’s family and friends in attendance, Dakoda Armstrong dealt with various obstacles but was able to pilot his No. 28 WinField United Toyota to a 20th place finish in the running of the Hisense 300 at the Concord, North Carolina track.
