Armstrong at Pocono Raceway:
Dakoda will be making his seventh career start at the track known as the “Tricky Triangle”. Armstrong competed in the XFINITY Series event at the track last year and also has two previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to go along with three previous starts in the ARCA Racing Series.
Dakoda has a best Camping World Truck Series finish of 12th and a second place finish in the ARCA Racing Series at the Pocono track.
He finished 18th in last years XFINITY Series event in Pocono.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Pocono Raceway:
“Pocono is a fun track to race on but also very difficult at the same time. The long straight aways make it crucial to have good exit speed off the corners and keep that momentum up down the long straight away. The unique and different three corners of the track presents a challenge since they are all so different.”
“We got pretty good in the second half of last years race in Pocono and if we can start there this weekend then we should be in line for a very solid finish.”
The track known as the Monster Mile is one that tests those that have experience around the 1-mile oval as well as those making their first visit. Dakoda Armstrong made his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Dover International Speedway on Saturday and battled the Monster to collect a 19th place finish with his No. 28 WinField United Toyota in the running of the OneMain Financial 200 at the Dover, Delaware track.
