Armstrong at Talladega Superspeedway:
Dakoda will be making his fourth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Talladega Superspeedway to go along with two prior starts each in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the ARCA Series. He won the ARCA Series event in 2010 after starting from the pole.
Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 18th at the 2.66-mile long track which occurred during the race in 2014.
Dakoda’s Thoughts on Talladega Superspeedway:
“Talladega is one of my favorite tracks. I won the ARCA race there in 2010 and have run good there over the years. The key this weekend is just like it was in Daytona which is to have a fast car, run up front and stay out of trouble. Talladega is known for the Big One and you just need to do your best and have some good luck to stay away from that.”
“We are coming off a couple decent runs the last few races and it is important for us to continue to build some early season momentum. I know our No. 28 WinField United Toyota will be fast and it will be key to find the right partners at the end to give ourselves a shot at another strong finish.”
Dakoda Armstrong has grown to like racing at Richmond International Raceway and that affinity paid off for him on Saturday. Armstrong would survive a mid-race spin and regain the loss of two laps on the field to steer his No. 28 Toyota to a much deserved 16th place finish in the running of the ToyotaCare 250.
