• This was Kaz Grala’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Talladega Superspeedway
• Grala received damage to the nose of his Ford Mustang during an incident on lap 32, which also involved his teammate Dylan Lupton and five other cars
• The Boston native’s best position of the day was seventh (lap 75)
• Grala went a lap down during a long green-flag run, which lasted almost the entire duration of the final stage
QUOTES “In the beginning of the race, we were pretty solid. We were able to suck up to the cars in front of us and I felt like we’d be able to make moves when the time was right. Unfortunately, the incident at the beginning of Stage 2 happened right in front of me and we wound up getting a good bit of damage to the nose of our Ford Mustang. After that, we just couldn’t suck up as well anymore and we got trapped a lap down. We still fought hard the entire race and crossed the finish up front. Either way, our JGL Racing crew worked really hard and it was a blast dicing it up at Talladega Superspeedway.”
