Lagasse Jr. finished sixth in the JGL Racing No. 24 Toyota in the NASCAR XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Scott’s Thoughts on Daytona International Speedway:

“I am excited to be back in Daytona with JGL Racing where we had a very strong race in February.  I know we will have another great race car this weekend and we look to improve five spots from our February finish and bring the No. 26 Florida Lottery / SCREEN YOUR MACHINEToyota home in Victory Lane.”

Lagasse Jr. will be spreading the word this weekend about The Florida Lottery and their Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The Florida Lottery has contributed more than $4.85 billion to send more than 725,000 students to college since 1997. Scott is a perfect example of a student that worked hard in school and benefited from the generous support of the program.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to share my experience with everyone about the Lottery’s Bright Futures Scholarship Program and I will always be grateful. I was able to get four years of great education and a College degree that otherwise may not have happened.” said Scott.

“I also want to spread the word about SCREEN YOUR MACHINE™ and American Cancer Society. We are working together to move people to be screened for cancer and to bring attention to The Road To Recovery.   Last, I want to remind everyone to please be Alert Today for Bicycles and Pedestrians when you are driving and especially this 4th of July weekend.  Please remember that “Safety Doesn’t Happen By Accident”.
