RICHMOND RACEWAY No. 28 SMART Emissions Reducer Ford Mustang
Start: 35th Stage 1 End: 20th Stage 2 End: 21st Finish: 24th Status: Running Laps Completed: 247/250 Owner Standings: 29th • This was Tony Mrakovich’s first-career NASCAR Xfinity Series race and first start in any NASCAR series • Mrakovich’s Richmond debut was only his fifth-career stock car race • The 19-year-old’s best running position during the event was 13th (Lap 170) • On lap 197, another competitor made significant contact with Mrakovich and turned him almost completely sideways, but the young driver made an impressive save • The No. 28 Ford Mustang was free into and out of the corners for most of the 250-lap raceQUOTES “I’m really proud of everyone on this JGL Racing team tonight. These guys put in a ton of hard work and it showed. We had some trouble in the first practice, but by the beginning of the race, my car was on a rail. That last run, it just lost all turn-in, but either way it was fun. I think we could have done a little better, but I was trying to be conservative out there; I’m just glad that I was able to bring our SMART Emissions Reducer Mustang home in one piece. It was fun racing with all these guys and all these big names, so I’m looking forward to the next time back, for sure.”
