Kaz Grala Brings Experience to First Xfinity Race at Bristol

No. 24 NETTTS Ford Mustang
• This will be Kaz Grala’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway
• Grala has two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the 0.533-mile oval, with a best finish of 11th (2016)
• The Boston native also has three starts at the concrete short track in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, with two top-five results and a best finish of third
• For the first time in 2018, Grala is the veteran of the two JGL drivers; he and teammate Tony Mrakovich are both 19, with Grala just seven days his senior
• Grala will be making his 39th start in one of NASCAR’s top-three series, which is in addition to 40 K&N Pro Series East and West starts and two NASCAR Pinty’s Series events, while Mrakovich will be making his first start in any NASCAR series

“Bristol is a track that every driver is obsessed with. Every single time I walk into the place, I get chills. I have a ton of laps there between K&N East and the Truck Series, both with and without the VHT. It’s always been one of my stronger tracks, performance-wise, so I’m really excited to get to see what the Xfinity car is like around there. Hopefully we can wear the sticky stuff off enough to run up top, because that is my favorite place to be at Bristol.”

JGL Racing fields two entries in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as it continues its growth in the NASCAR arena. Led by successful entrepreneur James Whitener, the Denver, North Carolina-based team prides itself in its proven product both on and off the track. The team charged into the 2018 season with a manufacturer switch to Ford and a technical alliance with Roush Fenway Racing. 19-year-old racer Kaz Grala pilots the team’s No. 24 Ford Mustang, while Dylan Lupton will be behind the wheel of the No. 28 Ford Mustang for a majority of the season.
