Kaz Grala Hoping to Learn Fast in First Fontana Start

No. 24 NETTTS Ford Mustang

• This will be Kaz Grala’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Auto Club Speedway and first two-mile track in the series
• In the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Grala has one previous start each at similarly-sized tracks Michigan International Speedway (2.0 miles) and Pocono Raceway (2.5 miles)
• Grala finished 12th in the Truck Series race at Michigan in 2017
• The Boston native also has one Pocono start in the ARCA Racing Series, where he started from the pole and finished fourth (2017)
• Grala remains third in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings

“Fontana is one of the few tracks this season that I have never raced at in any car or truck. That will definitely make this weekend more challenging for me, and it will change our approach in practice. Fortunately, it won’t be entirely foreign to me; Last year as a rookie in the Truck Series, I unloaded almost every weekend at a track I’d never seen before, and this will be no different. Hopefully I can get a handle on the track quickly so we can start dialing our NETTTS Mustang in for the race.”

JGL Racing fields two entries in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as it continues its growth in the NASCAR arena. Led by successful entrepreneur James Whitener, the Denver, North Carolina-based team prides itself in its proven product both on and off the track. The team charged into the 2018 season with a manufacturer switch to Ford and a technical alliance with Roush Fenway Racing. 19-year-old racer Kaz Grala pilots the team’s No. 24 Ford Mustang, while Dylan Lupton will be behind the wheel of the No. 28 Ford Mustang for a majority of the season.
