Lupton Has Sights Set on Top-15 at Monster Mile

No. 28 thinQ Technology Partners Ford Mustang

• Dylan Lupton has one previous start at Dover International Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (June of 2017)

• The 24-year old had a strong start in his sole weekend at the Monster Mile, but was derailed by a broken rotor on lap 52, which resulted in a 30th-place finish
• Lupton has taken the green flag six times in NXS races at tracks one mile in length, with a best finish of 19th (ISM Raceway)
• JGL Racing has 15 previous Dover starts with a best finish of sixth (Corey LaJoie in October of 2016)
• Ford has 11 Miles the Monster trophies in the Xfinity Series

“I’ve had this weekend’s race at Dover circled on my calendar since the beginning of the season kicked off. It’s such a fast race track and it’s really unique because of the elevation drop from the entry of the corner to the center, and also because it’s a concrete track. I would say Dover has been a good track for JGL Racing and we have had quite a bit of speed there in the last few years. I think we would have had a great finish last year if we didn’t have a mechanical issue that led to us going to the garage, so I’m looking for us to run inside the top-15 this weekend.”

JGL Racing fields two entries in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as it continues its growth in the NASCAR arena. Led by successful entrepreneur James Whitener, the Denver, North Carolina-based team prides itself in its proven product both on and off the track. The team charged into the 2018 season with a manufacturer switch to Ford and a technical alliance with Roush Fenway Racing. 19-year-old racer Kaz Grala pilots the team’s No. 24 Ford Mustang, while Dylan Lupton will be behind the wheel of the No. 28 Ford Mustang for a majority of the season.
