• This was Dylan Lupton’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol
• Lupton experienced an overheating issue early in the race, requiring the team to add water to the car
• On lap 96, the SMART Emissions Reducer Ford blew a water line, forcing the team to make repairs in the garage before returning 14 laps later
• Lupton’s engine expired on lap 151, which leaked oil and resulted in a hard hit into the outside wall, ending his day

“Our No. 28 was plagued with some bad luck today. We had overheating problems from the beginning of the race, which caused us to go multiple laps down. We had to come in and put water in it, then we blew a water line later on, which forced us into to garage and put us even further behind. On that lap150 restart, the motor just let go and oil got everywhere. I couldn’t get it to turn and that ended our day in the fence. This place is tough; I just made my first laps here this morning and I was learning the track as the race went on, but it’s just a challenging track. I’m thankful I was able to race the SMART Emissions Reducer Ford Mustang today, I’m just disappointed we couldn’t get a better finish.”
